Local History Collection

The Paulding County Carnegie Library also maintains a collection of books and other resources documenting the history of Paulding County. Included is a large collection of high-school year books dating back to the early 20th century. Microfilmed local newspapers dating back to the late 19th century are also available. Patrons may access the newspapers through a Digital Microfilm Reader which allows the researcher to digitize information found and send it via e-mail. The Paulding County Genealogy Society underwrote the cost of this special resource.  

 

John Paulding Historical Society & Museum

Paulding County is fortunate to have a quality historical museum and active society that collects, maintains and preserves the history of the settling and growth of Paulding County.
