The Paulding County Carnegie Library main library in Paulding was funded in 1912 and opened in 1916 as the first county library in the United States funded by Andrew Carnegie.  


The library is located at 205 South Main Street, Paulding, Ohio 45879.

The Main Library Friends of the Library

The Main Library has an active support group. The Friends of the Library meets regularly at the library. This group operates the used book store, “Buy the Book” which is located next door to the library. They provide support for programming and special events.   The Friends of Library also coordinate and administer the Black Swamp Book Worms Reading Group, a book club for adults.
